The DLOODA story

The leg decides, the waistband tolerates

The people behind DLOODA started in 2019 with one pair: office trousers cut from the knit that leggings use. The reason was ordinary. Changing clothes twice a day costs time nobody agreed to spend, and the trousers that survived both the desk and the walk home always had the same two things, a soft waistband and a leg that hung straight.

That is still the whole DLOODA brief. You judge a pair at the hem first: a wide leg reads as dressed, a flare reads as deliberate, a bootcut disappears under a shoe, a straight leg goes anywhere and argues with nothing. Everything after that is comfort engineering, and comfort engineering is cheap to do badly.

The DLOODA range now runs to 416 styles across 12 leg cuts. Most of it is the same idea in different shapes: a stretch knit, a waistband that pulls on, and pockets deep enough to hold a phone without printing its outline through the fabric. 368 of the 416 styles list pockets, and 319 sit high on the waist.

Colour is where a catalogue like this usually goes quiet, and ours mostly does: black, brown, navy and dark grey carry the range, with 38 colourways listed in total. That is not modesty, it is what sells. A work trouser gets worn twice a week and photographs badly in anything loud.

The pairs behind the numbers

Three the ratings put first

What we will not do is pretend a stretch knit is a suiting wool. It creases differently, it pills where a bag strap rubs, and after enough hot washes the recovery goes out of the waistband. A pair here is a season or several of regular wear, not an heirloom, and the price says so: $6.64 to $39.99.

Sizes are the other honest limit. The range is listed XS to 4XL, and the maker states that the pieces run true to size. There is no inseam choice on most of them, so the size guide spends more time on length than on waist: on a wide leg, two inches at the hem change the whole look of the pair.

We sell by the pair and we list by the leg. If you already know you want a bootcut, the rest of this catalogue is noise, and the menu at the top of every page is built to let you skip it.
